I have over 25 years of experience photographing every thing from people to tadpoles. I’ve had a camera in my hand since the age of 11. I used film up until about 10 years ago when I started casually using digital.
I’m self taught in both film & digital. My professional career started 4 years ago with digital. My education in the arts has always been an ongoing experience; it never stops. I take classes here and there and I read CONSTANTLY. I paint and photograph EVERY DAY.
I try to use natural light as much as possible, but do not shy away from using strobes. I’ve been to Joe McNally’s lighting classes and LOVE him.
I incorporate lots of high key lighting in my shots, abstract and use of photojournlism because there is nothing better than a photo that tells a story. I’m getting ready to take a step into documentary photojournalism and I’m very excited about that. I’m also a painter. I specialize in contemporary mixed media impressionism and abstract paintings.
